The moment the intro theme played, I found myself tapping along wanting more.
This show is good.
I'm not one to enjoy tv or cartoons, but for being both, I'd say it definitely won me over.
I enjoyed the anti hero aspect of it. Carmen is definitely very vigilante like, and I think that makes the character fresh and interesting to watch. The story connects various plots in interesting ways, and definitely isn't too 'soft' in terms of fight scenes and action.
The animation is an art of itself. It's beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing. The voices flowed really well with it, and it felt very real and concrete.
I wasn't in favor that the educational stuff was kind of stuffed in there, without flowing into the story better.
But overall, I enjoyed the relationships and the characters on the show. The potential is great. There are many ways the show can bring more character development and make deeper plot lines, which is what I hope they do.
I give it a 8.0/10.0. This show is good, and it has the potential to be the next Young Justice, which is a high quality animation.
There's always room for improvement. I think that with some added plot lines, more character development, and making the educational concepts flow into the story better, the show will be more complete.
