Glad it's not just me! Parts of this just too visceral for night time reading. Couldn't sort out JVP, LTTE or TULF stuff though I'd be interested to learn about the politics if presented in away that makes sense.
Don't mind working hard with a novel if it's worth it!
Experiment with 2nd person just annoying. All parts about being gay been done already by other writers - and better.
Must make sure I read the runner's up novels - they're often better.
