I personally hated this book, for several reasons. First the characters are so poorly developed it's laughable. The only thing the author seems to know about the characters is that their physical appearance is perfect. It's repeated over and over again throughout the book how perfect and beautiful Adeline and Zade are and how they match the beauty standards perfectly. It becomes so tiring and takes away from the depth of the story and characters. Also Zades actions are totally opposite of his character which is just confusing. Second, I personally dislike the tone the author uses. I expected well developed and elegant writing but instead got 13 year old wattpad. She adds witty non-funny commentary in unnecessary places that ruin the moment. Also, she tries, unsuccessfully, to build an elaborate and complex plot but the story ultimately lacks details and had so much sex that the plot didn't really matter anyways. If you want to write a book with tons of sex that's fine but then you should commit to it. It's seems poorly planned out. The sex is okay but so unrealistic. Adeline always stresses how much she doesn't want to have sex with Zade any time he's around but as soon as he touches her she completely changes it up. It doesn't make any sense. If you want 'dark romance' read some fanfiction because most of it is better than this.
