It’s not scary & shouldn’t even be in the Horror genre. However, if there were an “Unwatchable” genre- it would be the best movie in it! Why? Totally unwelcoming, unlikeable & obnoxious group of kids (poorly acted by cast) “befriend” this college kid in the CA desert, and get him to ditch his brother for the weekend to hang with them instead. What I cannot for the life of me figure out though, is why the main character wants to continue to be around them (especially after the quasi weird stuff FINALLY begins to happen)?!?! I get they’re young & he’s into the girl Zoey from their group, but it’s an unbelievable pairing w/zero chemistry together. Plus, she literally looks either uncomfortable, confused and/or ready to cry throughout the majority of the movie but never does she ONCE pull off actually looking into him. No offense, but no girl (even such a pretty one) is worth having to hangout with the rest of this motley crew, which includes her rude, nasty ex BF Max. Turning it OFF was the absolute best moment I experienced during Head Count. Seriously, it’s that bad~
