This show has three engaging main characters who do a convincing job with their roles. The town of Serenity is unrealistically kind, safe and friendly, but very comforting. Nothing happens in this show that is too stressful or overwhelming although it does keep you watching because there’s a enough anticipation. I think the acting is good. The writing is meant to inspire us to be our best selves. It’s a little Christian for me with a lot of references to Lord, God, Jesus. I grew up Christian, so I don’t mind it, but real life is not as faith based warm and fuzzy. The writers encourage us to be kind with each other and ourselves, to eat organic, locally sourced, fresh produce, to take our time healing or grieving, to talk our about feelings and to do yoga and meditation. What’s not to love? I would move to serenity in a heartbeat.
