Excellent book. Alain Proust's superb photographs of houses, churches and other buildings are a visual delight, and they are complemented by images that showcase the wide open spaces of the Karoo. Photo-essays by Patricia Kramer tell readers about the early history of the Karoo while also illuminating the architecture and decor of a vast array of buildings. Highly recommended.
