Disappointed at the storyline which favors a two-dimensional, soap-opera approach to what should be an intelligent examination of primary historical import. Why so much emphasis on his grandson? Why all the side-stories that have little or nothing to do with Franklin's role of engaging an ally to win our independence? And while I find this as unsatisfactory as many here do, why all the right-wing epithets of "wokeness"? Instead of parroting the maga-like blanket to all that displeases you, why not specify what you find inadequate about the series instead of lazily defaulting to an adjective that has lost all its meaning, if it ever really had one?
P.S. - for an excellent series counterpoint, look at HBO/Max' "John Adams" with Paul Giamati and Laura Linney. Tom Wilkenson's Benjamin Franklin puts this one to shame.
