As a HUGE FAN of all LiS games… this one didn’t do it for me. :( Let me say, there are some BRILLIANT sides to the game! Alex is beautiful and funny, the town is gorgeous and the people are just as great. They’ve come a LONG way with voice acting/facial expressions, and much more. But I just…wasn’t into the story. As a foster kid, I actually loved Alex’s personal backstory, I relate to it on a level I genuinely wasn’t expecting. But the plot of the game as a whole was…severely underwhelming compared to the high stakes of the other game. It felt like the whole game was rushed and on a low simmer until “the big parts”. And when the bigger plot kicked in- I found myself only playing to just finish it already. :( A lot of it I was able to solve immediately and honestly- felt like I was playing Until Dawn for a second lol, and not in a good way. (If you know, you know) Overall, I teared up a few times but the experience as a whole? Not worth the $80 I spent. I MIGHT play it again just to get my money’s worth, but other than that it’s an alright game.
