In my opinion, this is probably one of the best Marvel shows to be adapted. The pacing of the first season was a bit slow, as some has pointed out, however, I believe is necessary in order for the audience to be able connect with the characters better and really understand the demons that each face in their everyday, individual lives. This show does not compare to other teen fantasy shows filled with distasteful dialogue and cheesy, overdone predictable plot. It 's almost interactive in a way that it doesn't explain every single detail about every scene leaving the audience to think and solve the puzzle and put pieces together themselves. This show is realistic as it tackles real world problems such as racism, poverty, addiction, corruption and even sex trafficking, but at the same time keeping to the fantasy side of the story by adding the supernatural elements to it, shedding a little light to the heavy topics.
It is a story about two beautiful people, each brought up from the opposite ends of the spectrum of life, who finds each other and realizes that maybe they're not so different after all.
