i’m not sure if it’s just me but i did not like this book. i was super disappointed as it was highly recommended and had good reviews but there were so many things that made me feel uncomfortable.if i’m being honest the spicy parts were on point but the rest of it was pretty trash towards the end.there are lots of underlying issues that were only addressed in a lazy manner. there was one part where Wren is crying and rushes out of school and sees Crew and his friends smoking we*d. she’s obviously shocked and just apologises and runs away. the boys then have the brilliant idea to RUN after her and scare her into not telling on them. Crew obviously is the one to catch her and he doesn’t just talk to her and ask her to not say anything. no, he pushes her against a locker, grabs her bo*b, presses up against her and doesn’t let her move while he talks to her. i’m sorry but this is NOT attractive/funny/hot this is practically assault and Wren was clearly uncomfortable but then only “ liked it later”. her liking it later does not justify him doing something like that in the first place. i was honestly so shocked i thought that there was something wrong with my book or it had missing pages but there wasn’t anything wrong so i forced myself to continue reading and it just got worse. i’m sorry but i simply cannot root for a guy that acts TOO much like an a-hole , i know that is the trope of the book but there’s a line the author need to draw and in this book it wasn’t drawn at all.
