A film on the experience of war like no other.. it captured magnificently the overall effect of being there. It not only conveyed the violence and fear, but the beauty of the desolation and surreal qualities of the lead character’s journey - the journey to his destination and to the discovery of what was within him. It leaves a soaring sense of renewed faith in the human spirit and the true meaning of courage.
