Besides the score, nothing else about this film is what can be termed as "magical" which is something a Christmas movie should be about. Characters are bland and the storyline is as broad and as uninspiring as they come. That paired with the most annoying Tom Hanks voice performance that consists of shouts and attempts at singing makes this movie as undesirable as they come. Cringe and groan from end to end.

Great action with zero chemistry on the romance part, typical of any Tony Scott movie. The brotherly bond between the male pilots made for hell of a lot better chemistry than the love interests. Thank goodness it didn't take up too much screen time, even though that seems like it's already too much.

We went into the movie without knowing anything about it at all. I like Jake Gyllenhall and my sister likes Ryan Reynolds, so we went to see it. Boy, what a pleasantly surprising space horror. Best space horror since Alien, in my opinion. Love the pacing and how the twist ending is terrifying without showing too much.
