Last third of the book was probably the best, beginning felt slow and some of the writing was clunky throughout. Really enjoyed the concept, and it did live up to the blurb's promise that it was like True Detective and Inception, with a few other things sprinkled throughout. Unfortunately this also meant it was slightly derivative and also predictable, but when it was good, it was great.
