Timothy Carpenter

As a U. S. Army Retired Veteran, I believe that it is important in telling the truth in our history. The good, the bad and the down right ugly of it. I believe that this film is a great depiction of our history. There is a quote that stands out in my mind about history, “Those who fail to learn from history are destined to repeat it.” Even in today’s society racism and bigotry can be seen in it. It may be a lot more subtle to most people but to others it is not. This country has a long history of racism but we have made a little progress. We still have a long way to go for true equality in our society and in the eyes of each individual towards others. This film has a strong cast and story that stands out as one of my favorites in the category of military films of all times. It has a great story and great story telling by great story tellers.
