Frankly, this is a JD Vance narcissistic manifesto. For one, he disparages his own ppl. He had a grandmother and a future wife that helped him with his bootstraps. He literally did not do it all on his own like he thinks he has. For all of his hard work to divorce himself from his class status of upbringing, he has literally abandoned his ‘kind’ that he claims helped shaped him into the ‘success’ that he is today. He has accomplished nothing to help bridge others from his childhood and from his impoverished community to ‘the better way of life’- he has only enriched himself. He had 2 years with an ‘addictions’ based NP that accomplished literally nothing at all of note. He does not have any authentic awareness of systemic poverty, systems that create them, the policies that creates poverty nor has he had any epiphanies/enlightenment outside of just himself and his own self interests. He obviously has no desire to help others escape dire poverty, dysfunction, addiction. Truly enlightened and ‘educated’ persons look behind themselves again and they help others with their bootstraps … He still continues to have the mindset he grew up with … of scarcity and literally every man for himself thinking. (This is why Trump chose him …) He hasn’t truly appreciated anything in his life other than his no longer being identified as an uneducated, poor ‘Hill’ person. Because, he hates the poor and the uneducated. He only loves them when it comes to voting (just like Trump). His wife clerked for Kavanaugh and John Roberts by the way.
