I have played Madden since the beginning. (yes I have) This version has improvements such as better franchise play, different commentators, teambuilder etc. The game, compared to recent past Madden games, is better than them but to me is a little underwhelming. The game is good but some of the "improvements" are past features that were put back in the game but as updated versions. This is a good thing I just hope these features stay and are improved upon in future versions. I don't dislike the game but to me it's not as good as others make it out to be nor as horrible as some suggest. Graphics are still great and smooth. The game modes are better and will keep you busy. Madden AI can be questionable, still no decent broadcast half time or post game and other issues. You can have a good experience with Madden but the game still hasn't struck a balance between simulation, immersion and fun.

My experience with this game is very good. It has its flaws but not to the extent that I read from other users. Dropped passes happen but it should happen. I hope players don't expect every pass to be caught. Graphics and college atmosphere are great and the AI, depending how you play can be challenging. Mini games and learning the controls are adequate enough to serve as tutorials.Game modes will keep you busy and Teambuilder app allows you to make your own team but right now only available on computers. I would like to have mass substitutions and some tweaks but it hasn't taken away from my experience. I played this game as well as past iterations and this game is solid. If people take the time to play the game for more than an hour and stop trying to bash it they may find more positives than negatives. Play for yourself and hopefully you will enjoy it.
