This movie is an overly drawn out, cacophonous mess. I won’t say it’s worse than the original, but the hype certainly made it extremely disappointing and the length made me want to vomit. The exposition is aggressively unnecessary, the plot is convoluted and clichéd, and the dialogue is juvenile in the best of times and redundant and nonsensical in the worst. I don’t think I’ve ever been more frustrated at what is generously called “a movie.” The portrayal of such great and beloved characters like Batman and Darkseid are nearly unrecognizable to the source material and seem like crimes against nature. There is so much that is out of place. Maybe the studio should rererelease it and add an additional 2 hours and 60 million to it, I’m sure that’ll fix it. Maybe add more spikes to what’s-his-face while they’re at it. There is a reason why movies aren’t typically 4 hours long and Mr. Snyder will be well served to rediscover that reason.
