I saw a lot of reviews where people didn’t like this movie. It had me going as to which characters like which characters to hate which characters to feel sorry for and in the end, I was surprised, and then I thought I had learned everything. I was surprised again, and then I was surprised again. I loved it.

The original Japanese version from 1987 with subtitles in English I think this is more faithful to the true version not just the Hollywoodized Version with Richard Gere.
You may be able to find it at your local library. I know I found it on YouTube and it was in seven or nine parts. It was black-and-white original.

With all of the stars, I expected something more than what we got. I would not recommend this movie.
