The book is absolutely horrible. Yes, I know you need to be kind with people but Wonder just expresses it in a terrible, sanctimonious, low-quality way. Also, the book is just boring, and terribly generic: mean kid, nice kid, super mean kid, super nice kid. It should be shortened to like 20 pages, because I can't believe anybody would like to read a book written for toddlers to learn to be nice. I think that a 3rd grader could write an two page essay on why this book is simply terrible.
The movie is just slightly better. It has OK movie quality. The bad thing is that is is quite boring. August is in a car, goes to school, gets bullied, gets other people to defend him, wins a medal. Kind of like blah blah blah mwah mwah mwah mwah. Totally boring, but they add small details and special effects to make it a decent movie (except for the plot.) I would rate the movie 2/5 stars and the book 0 stars. Actually, negative one stars.
