Overall Dead Island 2 is a solid 4.9 out of 5. My main gripe is Sam B's voice change. It's nothing against Cavin Cornwall. I enjoyed his performance and how he was able to bring Sam B to life. In the original Dead Island and in Riptide he has that southern accent being from New Orleans lower ninth ward. Personal gripe aside this game is excellent. The voice acting across the board flows excellently. The characters personality really shine. If you're the type of gamer that likes to rush through and complete the main storyline then this title isn't for you. I like the fact that it isn't open world like it's predecessor. Danbuster took the time to pack as much detail into the zones as possible to push exploration. It also helps keep the action at a good pace. The enemy types are interesting and have more versatility than before as well. In Dead Island the thug zombies were slow and had a very limited attack set. The crushers have more ways to attack and have a movement buff that will keep you on your toes. If your a fan of the series then you will not be disappointed. Allow yourself to become immersed into the environment and story and you'll have a great time playing Dead Island 2.
