My 9 year old daughter couldn't wait to read this book. It follows a young girl called Amita who embarks on a daring jungle quest with her best friend in order to find some lost magical slippers and a royal dancer who has been in hiding. They face daunting challenges along the way involving fire, crocodiles and snakes! Beautifully descriptive - you feel as if you are there with them. At the heart of the story is the theme of self belief and finding your ‘spirit’ in order to overcome obstacles. My daughter and I read this together and both absolutely loved it. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a book packed full of adventure. A great read.
