The show was overall fine. But I had some complaints regarding false misconceptions about a lot of things. It occurred to me that the show was anti-India which I’m not surprised of as the production is American. Let me explain how.. first they showed that the police is highly untrained and is basically a complete disgrace who has to do the work because the case is public. Second the police officer telling the DCP about some ways they could find the suspects that he saw it in some ‘American television show’[I mean cmon?]. Third they showed a couple of Indian officers having a conversation about how bad their situation is and how bad everyone treats them while in America everything goes as smooth as butter and they are very rich, with better salary, better status, and basically they are the best and no one compares to them. America is basically heaven and India farther worse than hell. Fourth the DCP’s daughter wanting to leave India because of how ‘dirty’, ‘corrupted’ and ‘polluted’ it is. Fifth they basically implied that dowry is a part of our culture which it is not. I’m not saying that the show is completely awful but these are some things that I observed and completely disagree with them. Also it would have been way better if they chose a better female lead as the current actor was sort of too dramatic and did not match the background of the series.
