What a return to form. This project is a showcase of longevity. He varies his style enough to highlight his versatility. His pen is still strong and he's been in the game since I was around my son's age (he's 2 months old, I was 8 month old). I am a 40 year old man and dude is still dropping bombs. Such a strong project. He collaborated with other strong lyricists like Nas, Eminem and Busta Rhymes (his nearest peer with regard to career length+relevance) and kept pace. He made a very strong joint for the ladies with Saweetie. He even introduced (to me) some young unknowns on "The Vow." Again, a very strong project. Anybody interested in a Hip Hop masterclass should give this a listen. A Veteran who still sounds relevant, with his pen in excellent shape. Salute to James Todd Smith.
