Watching the Panorama show about aviation emisions, at no point has anyone mentioned the Chemical trails left by some of the smaller planes.
These long trails can be seen early in the morning and hours later still lingering in the skies, passenger planes leave no trails, don't take my word for it..... look up at the skies.
