Ellis begins small, with a single event, and gradually enlarges each topic by including people and events to fill in a greater and more complex history than we formerly imagined. Through the adventure of this book I gained a new appreciation for our hard-working, brilliant, and very human founders. I have thoroughly enjoyed the colorful journey provided by Joseph Ellis.
