Love love loved it! Enormous fan of sonic from my childhood so I was likely to be both excited and nervous about this movie after the design debacle. Have to say though that they did a great job, it’s essentially a buddy comedy with an alien on earth vibe - which yes has been done before - but thanks to some of the comedy, pop culture references, speed scenes and classic Jim Carey, it all comes together to be nothing short of entertaining; which is all anyone can ask for with a film like this. Was I expecting an Oscar nomination? No. Was I expecting Marvel level quality? No. Regardless, this is funny and a good watch and left in plenty of nostalgia and Easter eggs for the fans.
