Lawrence Barkwell, … was not only a very dear friend but also an associate in the study of the Metis people. Since my wife's maiden name is Gosselin, and consequently one of the most famous families among the Metis of both Manitoba and Saskatchewan, … I took special interest in the book " the 49th Rangers, the Boundary Trail's Metis Scouts " since my wife's family provided no less than 7 of those Rangers.
This is a wonderful book which should be part of every Manitoba School Library. I highly recommend the book.
