It has a good story, but not necessarily a horror story. Maybe the expectations is too high because its predecessor is nearly perfect.

Season 2, it was thrilling, great acting, great story line, but there were not enough moment of psychological profiling by Dr. Kreizler. It was all about Sara and her ladies only private detective office. I love Sara's character, Dakota Fanning nailed it, but it's The Alienist, I want to see Dr. Kreizler more.

Confusing on a good way. Well acted, great story and twist, unique camera work.
