This book already tops my 2024 Best Read! I live not too far from the AZ (US) MX borderlands and have visited quite a few cities including Douglas. Aid’a’s story is unfortunately not unique and continues to occur. All people deserve a fair and decent life whether that means being able to secure U.S. citizenship or to just have access to feeling safe.
