Uninspired acting, poor storytelling, clichรฉ tropes, and offensive misrepresentation of other world powers as delinquent.
The movie screams propaganda: a single woman able to do what entire special forces teams cannot, simply because she is the president of America. It glorifies the U.S. as superior to all others through the tired and uninformed โlone American saviourโ plotlineโan approach thatโs long past its expiry date.
Meanwhile, other world leaders are portrayed as selfish and wholly inept. For instance, the British prime minister acts like a scared, petulant childโbegging the president for her special forces teams to intervene, as if the UK doesnโt have its own elite units capable of securing high-level summits. ๐
The film borrows so heavily from the Olympus Has Fallen franchise that itโs almost impossible to tell them apartโaside from this versionโs gutless, lethargic tone and lack of urgency or complexity. It feels lazy across the board: in its acting, writing, and direction.
Overall, a weary, egotistical, and unrealistic narrative, which failed to be redeemed by its third-rate execution.
