This was a slow movie. Typical dad died/mom remarried backstory for main character. The angst portrayed by hailee steinfeld is flat, boring and unbelievable. The animation at the beginning is very similar to a video game, the action throughout is unremarkable at best, easily forgotten for most of it. The nostalgia that the movie brings is simple and pandering.
