The use of emotive writing is well executed to be able to bring out emotions as it does but, it’s the most depressing book I’ve ever read in my life. It’s not one I’d recommend for escapism, for anything really other than if you want to depress yourself. The writing flows well enough and it’s easy to read. A bit cringeworthy in places, it’s like the author had a contest with herself how many times she could fit “baby” on to the end of sentences. Dragged on a bit towards the last third, found myself skipping paragraphs to get through the final few chapters.

I found this 3rd book boring, it dragged on and on going on about the same stuff as the 2nd book. If I had to read about blood dripping hands and gunshots one more time my brain would’ve combusted so, I skim read the last 10 or so chapters. This 3rd book was like being sat with an energy vampire, constant moaning throughout. Storyline didn’t fit the character of the previous two books so it seemed farcical. The writer is extremely good at drawing you in to the character, however that’s not what you want when it’s constant doom and gloom. Repetitive, too much filler writing and too drawn out.
