Marsha Cohen

One of my favorite films with Nicole Kidman. Brilliantly conceived, with contemporary songs interspersed throughout the movie, though it takes place in the early 1900s. It's a complete fantasy, yet the viewer is sucked in, hook, line, and sinker. Kidman sings in it and has a lovely voice. The acting, choreography, costumes and sets are feasts for the soul!!

I've been watching the movie and decided to stop. This film has many moments that are so unreal, where this stoner, alcoholic supposed genius poet just bangs around, causing all kinds of havoc that apparently is fine with everyone except his agent and even causes his wife's death as he was driving stoned out of his mind, appears to have zero guilt about it and noone blames him. It's all good, see? Time to party! What a load of horsesh@t. And after awhile bloody boring.
