‼️ CLEARING SOME MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT THIS MOVIE ‼️ 1) this movie is NOT A TRUE STORY, the director chose bits and pieces from actual child abduction cases to add into the movie to make it more realistic but the story itself is entirely fictional. the director made it in an attempt to inform people of the dangers of the internet. keep in mind that this movie was also made 9 YEARS AGO so obviously some things may not necessarily apply to today. this does not mean that you should be completely trusting 2) the photos and videos in this film are NOT REAL, THEY ARE STAGED whilst the story IS based off of bits taken from multiple child abduction cases the actual pictures shown in the film are not real 3) the actors in this movie were NOT UNDERAGE at the time of filming! the actress that played Megan was 19 at the time and the actress that played Amy was 22 a simple google search would tell you this tl;dr - not a true story, pictures are fake, the "true story" part comes from the little snippets taken from actual cases, the story is fiction, the actresses were over 18 at the time of filming
