Cube 2: Hypercube is nothing short of an absolute eyesore. From the very beginning moments of the film it is clear that it was a lazy attempt for the writing staff just to get money , and it's the equivalent of a 'netflix adaptation' in the series . They've given the people behind the cube a name , making it a million times less scary , they've got too many characters , all being unique and wearing different clothes , whereas the only thing different about each character in the first one was the name sewn on their shirts and their appearance . Each room has the same bright and bland colour , contrasting the darkness of the first cube , and any person that dies to a trap just comes back . The CGI effects are also sickening to watch because it just looks fake and is exposed by how bright the cube is , but in the first film the majority of the effects were practical effects , and all CGI looked real due to the fact that it was covered by how dark the cube was . In conclusion , I wouldn't recommend watching this at all , and it is a poor excuse of a cashgrab in its entirety.
