The movie is a darker less fantasy driven version of UP. Swap Carl with Tom Hanks and add in a ton of suicidal ideation and swap Russell with a short hyper, emotional, pregnant, Mexican woman. Instead of finding a lovable talking dog, Tom finds a stray cat to take care of, and instead of finding Kevin the doofy bird that turns out to be a momma, Tom finds a TRANY, a woman that calls herself Malcolm. The story has a bunch of time jumps back and forth. If you're looking for a good movie, just watch UP instead.
