Doina Toma

I did not expect this at all… I started to watch it as a easy “brain half dead” thing to watch but I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of acting…even of the script. It looked like it was going to be cheesy and full of clichés but it turned it all around by actually making fun within the show of those same clichés and cheesy moments…and in the end it looked just as life…goofy, sad, flawed but …sweet. My guilty pleasure for sure. Not sure why it was cancelled…maybe because it gave away so much of what it goes into the making of a reality tv show. Did a pretty good job of making a multidimensional character out of Nick. I might be biased here, but I don’t think may producers are as nice (even under the layer of callousness). I hope some other network / streaming platform picks it up.

Beautiful animation…but just that. Confusing and boring story. I guess the attempt at modernizing their stories and staying away from the typical right-wrong battle, empowering the “princess” eliminate completely the “prince” is understandable but replacing all that with a flat story and forgettable music is not going to do the trick for the new generations of kids watching Disney animated movies. I am blessed to have watched the classics (several times) with my daughter who turns fifteen today. And I am sure she will turn out to be a very independent, empowered young women…even if she watched and loved the classic princess movies.

A shameless cash grab, trying to catch the eye of everybody and anybody with an ethnically diverse cast and some LGBTQ2+ connotations, but with a story that does not make any sense (even for MCU). A boring mish mash of old legends and misplaced humour. The limp pacing only surpassed by laughable acting from the very celebrity actors (Salma and Angelina) brought in to boost the box office. A pile of plot holes and chaotic action scenes…The love story between main characters supposed to make us root for them has no chemistry and makes no sense after it is revealed that they are in fact “fancy robots ”. It ruined MCU for me …

One of the most interesting shows I have seen lately. Beyond the story and the many layers of symbolism (as pointed out by other viewers) it incites to look inside yourself... makes you think what would you see, facing the “mirror” The main character refers to on the Capitol scene. I can see how the questions it raises, without providing the “expected”, often, with other shows, “prefabricated” answers, can make a lot of people uncomfortable...Great show!
