I know everyone has they’re own opinions and that’s fine, but to me,THIS IS THE GREATEST TELEVISION SERIES EVER MADE.No other show in the history of television captivated my mind or made me think the way I did while watching The Sopranos.People in my generation go on and on about Breaking Bad, Game Of Thrones,The Walking Dead and those shows (except for Game Of Thrones) we’re all excellent but The Sopranos did everything those shows managed to achieve in a time where television was nowhere near as popular and mainstream then it is today. Not only that but this show ended up crafting the greatest Protagonist in the history of TV.Tony Soprano may be one of the most complex and interesting characters In fiction in my eyes.As even tho we see Tony murder multiple people, and take part in a world full of crime,he’s also a hard working American father trying to be a good man for his family, and it’s not often we see a character as evil as him be sympathized and cared for by the audience. The scenes were we see the “Real” Tony Soprano during the visits with Dr Melfi are some of the most realistic and intriguing scenes that we see in the show, and it adds to the whole idea
of the show that these characters are the same as any person you’d find walking on the street.Tony is a man who’s troubled past continues to haunt him throughout his life,Christopher’s struggles with his drug addiction is tragic and hard to watch up until his last appearance, and Even though people hate him I sometimes end up seeing a little bit of AJ in myself,I sometimes feel as useless and depressed as AJ was at 16.Sometimes This show doesn’t even feel like a show,it feels like your watching real people going through the struggles of everyday life in America just like the rest of us,but it’s shown through a dark lens that is the mob.If you haven’t seen The Sopranos, please just give it a chance,it’s too good to be overlooked.
