I’ve been to the theater to watch 13 different movies so far in 2023, including this one. There has been some films that really disappointed me or didn’t come to close my expectations, such as Antman, Spiderverse, and Shazam, then there has been others that really exceeded my expectations and I loved like Scream 6, Guardians of Galaxy, Megan, and now this film No Hard Feelings, obviously for different reasons. Seriously what is to dislike about this film, it’s extremely funny at moments, their was a couple of emotional scenes, there was good acting by Jennifer Lawrence and her lead male co-star. Honestly I’ve seen Lawrence in past films such in the last 3 X-Men films and Hunger Games, by far and I mean by far, this was the best I ever saw Jennifer act in a movie. She really looked and acted like she wanted to be in the movie, unlike a couple of the X-Men films. I must truly admit it was pure joy watching Jennifer Lawrence completely showing off her 9 body ( that’s my rating) with her in the nude and it was longer than 2 seconds y’all. Honestly this was a pleasant gem of a film for me to watch on Thursday previews and I can’t wait

I am being more critical at this crucial stage leading up to March 10th when the highest accolade any film can probably hope to achieve will be bestowed upon one worthy winner out of a shortlist of ten. But really, I'm just disappointed. I felt like the film lost confidence in its own audacity and bravely soldiered on to an acceptable resolution.

What set this Barbie movie apart from previous adaptations was its brilliant screenplay and contemporary storytelling. The film addressed modern-day themes, such as self-empowerment, friendship, and embracing diversity, without losing the essence of the classic Barbie charm. It was heartwarming to see Barbie's growth as a character, learning valuable life lessons and facing challenges with grace and determination.

James Wan doesn't offer anything new under sky; a baddie who wants revenge - saw that in the Marvels. Sibling tension? Saw that in Thor. Supposedly all powerful, final-baddie who then gets thumped easily? Saw that in Black Adam. By now, there's such an air of familiarity in superhero fares, that I think it' gonna take a complete shift in narrative/plots to offer audiences a fresh take.

Oppenheimer was an amazing film! Despite it being nearly three hours long, I was really impressed how they managed to give the film a fast pace. The film never really felt like it slowed down. The intensity was constant throughout. In a weird way, it felt like the ticking of a time bomb, always progressing to something bigger. Ludwig Göransson's soundtrack was impeccable. It just complemented the film so well and played a major role in maintaining the films quick pace. I don't think I could name a another film where the soundtrack was so integral to the film
