Yes, this movie is dumb, but it's a smart dumb, as in it's a tongue-in-cheek parody of the Jack Chick tract it is sourced from. One can truly just sit back and watch the classic stereotypes and paranoid Christian tropes unfold while laughing heartily at the "message" of this movie that D+D players are part of a dark evil cabal that works for worldwide domination. And any movie that features awakening Cthulhu gets five stars from me!
