I think the point someone made about a character driven film (not action driven) is really key. There's tension that spins from human trial, unthinkable decisions, and 'what would I do, ' calculations. A really good film from Great writing instead of murder and monsters. Highly recommended!

The series started strong with a great premise, close to King's writing, and Jason Bateman has been impressive as in, Ozark. After Bateman, the investigation is drawn out, and along with impressive acting, which isn't able to save context, the fourth episode (first season) jumps from on idea, to another, without making clear what's unfolding. The great start is lost here, and finds me just no longer caring about the outcome.

Brilliant. Well acted, amazing characters, and singing sets, you feel you're in turn off the century New York. Highly recommended!

Too erratic, diffused in plot. Unclear who's man/machine. Without a strong understanding of the subtext of general plot. Without that, some cool imagery, but no embraceable storyline at all.
