If you are looking for a history lesson which either you think you already know. Know. Or are wanting to learn. Go and study properly in your own time from books. Don’t go and see a two hour film. Of course it’s not historically accurate. It’s only two hours long!!!! Perhaps if you already have a clue you might be willing to listen and watch a beautiful interpretation that wouldn’t find in history books or a university course. Also of course the cinematography is wonderful.....it’s Scotland! Most people who have been will understand. The people that have not..... will need to make the pilgrimage please. Don’t bother visiting Donald Trumps horrible golf course and disappointing contribution to the community. I happen to have a half brother called James. He was taken from my mum when I was 13.... she was deemed not suitable.... ( don’t get me started lol). This film will touch a nerve with anyone who understand the sacrifices made for people who you love. For your beliefs, religion is the vehicle. The scene where the two ‘queens’ Meet is probably most likely not 100% accurate but a little poetic license is necessary. It could be related to any family these Days.... especially in Glasgow..... where we all know all the good women are Queens- who will ideally marry for love. That is what liberation and feminism is about today... we are free to choose..... most of the Time. These issues are timeless. Always. I loved it so there! Just go and see it..... stop reading bloody reviews ( it’s just another type of propaganda and gossip!) thanks if you actually read this far xxxx
