As someone who recently lost her best friend of more than 20 years for a good reason, I believe that the girl giving up her party for her best friend is a little ridiculous because if you dreamed of this, your whole life, all the spotlight is on your friend, not on you. So technically, she didn't have a bar mitzvah just to make up with her friend which is sweet However would her friend have done the same for her? I feel like giving up her party was not the best choice, especially when they needed to really sit down and talk not just trash on eachother.
