I really like this show. It is suspenseful and funny -- but it can be a bit formulaic. I admire the way almost every episode is a different case, but there is a larger (or personal) case being explored for the season. I would LOVE to see a streaming service pick up the show for a couple more seasons.

So, this movie. Too many twists and turns, but not enough character development. The husband was written as shady and ambitious, which did a great job of building suspense and casting doubt against him and his intentions. The wife was written as a doe-eyed, naive do-gooder who had no idea what her husband was up to, what was happening in her house -- pretty much no clue about life. To top it off, she didn't even realize/remember that her husband told her where the diamonds were hidden (or maybe she did and that is why she is gardening at the end?). IDK ... I wanted to like this movie, I really did, but too many random things strung together (i.e. her boss from the home attendant agency creeping in the house in the middle of the night ... like why? seriously ... why?!).
