Its a nice album. Nice music. Easy to listen to lyrics. The track I liked most was Scattered. It was just nice. Impeccable craftmanship is nice, but that doesn't mean there was anything to really hold onto. Its a surprisingly soothing album. But it really only took me to one place. It was like visiting the Grand Canyon, as opposed to visiting New Zealand. Majestic in sweep, but there isn't anything else to see once you get there. Touches of his career pop up in both the music and lyrics. As you travel around it, it does start to feel like a variation on one theme. As opposed to New Zealand which has an incredible array of micro climates, something dramatically new around every corner. His voice is soothing, his guitar work continues to be stunning when it comes to the fore. Our boi hasn't lost his touch. If I'm having trouble sleeping, I'm gonna put on this album.
