It's boring. I didn't laugh once. The reboot had me laughing the whole time. This, The Conners, is just bland. Darlene has always been a drag, Jackie has always been a nut, Dan has always been a typical blue collar outspoken, hungry man, and so on.. but without Roseanne there to start the scene, and end it with a punchline, the characters just fall flat. Darlene can occasionally crack a good joke on Becky but its not a laugh out loud moment like Roseanne. I don't know why they thought they could do the show without her. I can film my own family, the family next door, the family across the street, and the family down the road and it would be identical to The Conners, maybe even better. The show is and will always be relatable to the veiwers, but Roseanne made it to where we could laugh along with her and laugh at our own lives and hardships. She was the show, without her it's just like watching a boring reality TV show of middle class/poverty Americans without any drama and with really bad jokes. It's just a crappy show. ABC messed up by firing her. The Conners will never be the highest rated show like Roseanne was.
