First off: potential spoiler alert.
It's been a while since I last saw such a thrillless film, the only horrifying things about it were the uninspiring acting by the guy playing the psychologist (I'd imagine there's only so much you can do when your only scenery is a single room) and the highly predictable storyline. The "demon" possessing the inmate is trying to sell his position from the christian conservative perspective rather than what would make sense, namely an attempt at temptation. There's nothing even vaguely scary about anything in this except maybe the fact that Glen Beck is featured in it dressed as a failed high school counsellor, even though the director made a failed attempt at a jump scare with the prisoner character grabbing the psychologist, way too predictable unless the only films you've seen in your life are those JW indoctrination cartoons. Even the explanation of the failure of the psychologist's suicide attempt makes zero sense if you have a basic understanding of the inner workings of a handgun. Unless you are scared of watching an actual thriller or horror film, or are looking for something to reaffirm your religion based political ideas, I'd suggest skipping this pile of manure.
In summation it's just the same old right-wing talking point of "all euthanasia and abortion am murder, so that be bad" that is prevalent in certain rather hypocritical parts of US society that the producer has tried to fob off as a supernatural thriller/horror film.
I didn't pay to watch this film, so luckily I am not out of pocket for being subjected to this snooze-fest, but still, where do i claim the time back that I wasted watching this right-wing christian pro-life propaganda piece?
