Time traveling back to 1938 when Los Angeles was rife with corrupt cops and brazen gangsters, City of Angels sweeps us up and plops us down right in the middle of old LA, a different LA where lawlessness always
simmered just below the surface. The scandals you see are true, although they have been tightly wrapped in imaginative plots involving intrigue, mysticism and the raw racism of the time. Kudos to writer John Logan and the talented cast. And Roy Kinnear, how wonderful to see you in the City of Angels. The complexity you bring to your role is fabulous...as always. ❤️
