Great movie. No, Simran. The real enemies weren't the Europeans because for all the atrocities they may have caused, they're the ones who brought a semblance of civilization to the otherwise barbaric world of violence on display althroughout this 2-hour movie. It's about time we stopped rehashing what the media feeds us and start looking at the other side of the tainted story told about indigenous-settler relations. For those who think the movie is exaggerating or inaccurate about history, book a flight to Mexico to the Yucatan region, and schedule some day tours to Chichen Itza or the Tulum archeological site, and your tour guides (who're likely going to be of Mayan descent) will boldly tell you all about the human sacrifices and other ungodly practices that took place. On that note, enjoy your day.
