Unwatchable. And I watch anything without turning it off, just to say I finished it. I could not get through this, and there wasn’t anything else on. I chose to scroll my phone in silence instead. The level of cringe and pandering to women (I am a woman, btw), combined with the rushed storytelling — all bad, folks. Have you ever read a female character in a book written by a man and it’s completely overwritten or just flat out nonsense? Meet She-Hulk. Insulting. It’s hard to imagine this being anything serious. She-Hulk is more like execs are trying to poke fun at the woke community while pretended to be apart of it. “I know, let’s make a pronoun joke. That’ll make the kids happy.” At the very least, they are shamelessly exploiting feminists and LGBTQ+ by putting what they think needs to be seen for a cash grab and social media praise. Judging by some of the comments I’ve seen, it’s working. She-Hulk’s “womansplaining” was a big hit — but totally forced and rushed. Most of the one episode I stomached was just to support her ramble, so it wasn’t even organic and fell totally flat. Honestly, I think we’re being duped after their whole unrealistic and forced female superhero moment in End Game. I’m a fan of all their stuff but I really wish they would get back to the character development and stay out of the very obvious grab for social media accolades. Look what Marvel has done to their female stars, like Scarlett. Elizabeth Olsen had to fight for a higher neckline. If you think these people aren’t solely trying to cash in, and you think they actually care about equality, you’re naive.
